| Description of Services: | The facility is a cement plant that is permitted to burn substitute, waste derived fuels, and to use some substitute raw material. The plant uses the dry process with a calciner as opposed to a wet process. The classifications of substitute fuels combusted onsite include hazardous, liquid waste derived fuels and non-hazardous, solid waste derived fuels including shredded tires, shredded wood, shredded plastic, and animal meal. All of the substitute fuels are burned as received; there is no fuel blending conducted onsite. The substitute raw material consists of contaminated soil that is handled at the quarry. |
