| Description of Services: | The facility receives three primary waste streams, including emulsified oily water, non-emulsified oily water, and non-hazardous waste leachate (from landfills). The non-emulsified oily water, which is received primarily from car washes and oil/water separators, is first screened of silt and then the oil is physically separated via gravity. The emulsified oily water requires thermal and chemical treatment (primarily ferrous sulphate addition) to separate the oil and water. And the non-hazardous waste leachate from landfills undergoes pH adjustment and solids separation. |
