| Description of Services: | The facility operations are grouped under three business units: 1) Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE); 2) End of Life Vehicles (ELV) and Scrap Metal; and 3) Hazardous Waste (HW). Specifically, the facility conducts WEEE processing (disassembly and demanufacturing in preparation of components for transfer for off-site recycling), ELV temporary storage and processing (disassembly and demanufacturing in preparation for transfer of components for off-site recycling), cable and scrap metal processing (shredding in preparation for transfer of components for off-site recycling), hazardous waste interim storage (storage only pending off-site transfer to other waste management facilities for final treatment/disposal) and hazardous waste and non-hazardous waste processing (bulking and shredding) to develop refuse derived fuel (RDF) which is then sent to cement kilns for use as alternative fuel. |
