| Description of Services: | The facility has four batch-operated, natural gas-fired, two-chambered pyrolytic incinerators are used for the thermal destruction of the waste. The majority of waste that is accepted into the facility is plant trash from industrial tenants inside the Estate (as well as affiliated companies outside the Estate), but may include nonhazardous pharmaceutical wastes, and illicit drug wastes, as long as they do not exhibit hazardous waste characteristics. Also accepted are biomedical (red bag) wastes. Less than 1% of the total wastes received are recyclable wastes pulled out of plant trash, such as aerosol cans, some plastics, and batteries. |
