| Description of Services: | The facility is one of the 15 wood treating plants in the Railroad and Utility Products Group. New railroad crossties are manufactured here. The steam needed to operate the onsite facility for manufacturing the new crossties is provided by an onsite co-generation (cogen) facility that is the subject of this audit. The cogen facility burns spent wooden railroad crossties. |
