| Description of Services: | The facility is a landfill / landpile that accepts municipal solid waste. The current landfill operation consists of two parallel waste piles situated on both sides of the access road. The current waste piles are approximately 6 to 8 meters high, 50-75 meters wide, and 275 meters long. Trucks enter the site and are directed to the active area on the access road, and the waste is subsequently dumped on the road. Presently, waste pickers will go through the newly dumped load to remove recyclables/valuables (plastics, textiles, metals, etc.), and the waste will eventually be moved to one of the two waste piles with a bulldozer or excavator. |
