| Description of Services: | The facility accepts about electronic scrap, including laptop, desktop and main frame computers, monitors, other electronic devices, and small refrigeration units. An outside contractor is called onsite to remove refrigerant from refrigeration units as required. Refurbished equipment has parts replaced as required, and is tested for resale. The facility allows consumer entry for purchasing of used computers, and additionally sells many on e-Bay. Prior computer owners must approve the re-sale of their computers. If requested, unit hard drives are destroyed by drilling, and equipment is scrapped if re-sale is undesired. Data wiping on units for re-sale is done using special software. |
