| Description of Services: | The facility exclusively handles spent refinery catalysts and similar materials originating from chemical processing, including Hydrodesulfurization (HDS) and Hydrotreatment catalysts containing metals (cobalt, nickel, molybdenum, and vanadium). Site processes include thermal treatment and subsequent conditioning treatments (including chemical dissolution and precipitation) which recover the metals and form various products for sale: aluminum oxide for technical applications (produced from recovered catalyst-carrier aluminum), molybdenum oxide hydrate, molybdenum concentrates, nitrogen-containing nutrient solution (from precipitation of molybdenum using nitric acid), gypsum for technical applications (by-product of flue gas pollution control equipment), and sulfate-containing salts based on cobalt and nickel. Products are sold to the steel industry and for catalyst production as applicable (various outlets are used for the products). |
