| Description of Services: | The facility accepts municipal solid waste (MSW) and special industrial wastes, which are individually approved by the Alabama Department of Environmental Management (ADEM). Waste is pre-qualified by confirming that waste is generated within the allowed service area, and special waste profile information is reviewed by laboratory personnel at Emelle, AL, and by the ADEM. Analytical data including TCLP, VOCs, flash point, pH, metals, etc., are required to determine if waste is hazardous. Liquid and sludge special wastes were formerly solidified to allow disposal onsite, however this practice has been discontinued, and only solids are now accepted. |
