Description of Services:Transformer Technologies Salem, OR plant is an electrical equipment recycling facility, and a commercial PCB storage facility. The facility accepts oil-filled, and non-oil filled non-PCB (<50 ppm) electrical equipment for dismantling, and component recovery; used non-PCB dielectric oil (<50 ppm) for bulking; and PCB (>500 ppm) and PCB-contaminated (50-499 ppm) electrical equipment for storage only. Bulk liquid containers, vacuum and tank trucks can bring in used transformer oil (<50 ppm) that has been stung out from electrical equipment, direct from substations, and small storage tanks.

All separated components are sold on the open market, including the furnace ash (which contains copper). Any remaining process waste (i.e. debris, oily rags, sludge from can wash tank, empty plastic containers) is disposed at an offsite nonhazardous landfill.
