| Description of Services: | The facility is authorized to transfer, receive, repackage, store and treat low-level radioactive waste - the principal site operation is Decay-in-Storage (DIS) such that incoming radioactive material degrades to the point where it can be disposed of as general solid waste. In addition, RWM is licensed to store for up to 24 months any waste that has a half-life greater than 120 days, prior to shipment to off-site treatment/disposal facilities. |
