| Description of Services: | The facility accepts only one waste type, “empty” containers that are not defined as a hazardous waste. The containers must be completely purged (beyond the requirements of “RCRA empty”) of their contents in order to be accepted for treatment. If the containers are not completely purged, they are returned to the generator. The operations at the facility include equipment to remove the lids from the containers; a furnace to destroy the residual material in the containers; blast equipment to further clean the inside and outside of the container; a painting operation; and equipment to reapply the lids. Inspection of the drums is done throughout the process. |
