| Description of Services: | The facility manages nonhazardous raw material substitutes that have high calcium, silica, alumina and iron properties. Three of the large volume streams are: Petroleum Contaminated Soil; spent sand blast grit and foundry sands, and industrial wastewater. It also manages nonhazardous alternative fuels with a high BTU value, including mineral and waste oil, and tires. Most of the alternate fuel/raw materials (AF/RM) originates from generators in the Puget Sound region, and nearly all of the material is transported to the Seattle plant by truck. |
