| Description of Services: | The facility is a transfer and storage facility near Juarez, Chihuahua, Mexico for both hazardous and non-RCRA regulated waste which are subsequently exported to the United States for treatment and/or disposal. The facility exclusively handles hazardous waste generated by maquiladoras (manufacturing companies) located in the Mexican states of Chihuahua and Durango. The facility is authorized to operate as a Services Maquila, and can accept ownership and title to the waste from maquiladoras, and provide them the documentation to close out their import pedimentos, to comply with Mexican customs regulations that allow the maquiladoras to import raw materials "in bond." These same regulations require the maquiladoras to return any wastes generated as a result of raw material imports back to the country of origin. |
