Review Program
(Visit Date):

There is 1 more review conducted prior to 2014 not shown.
Description of Services:The facility blends liquid and solid hazardous wastes to formulate fuel primarily for the adjacent CEMEX cement kilns. Hazardous waste received at the facility includes: used oil, lubricants and solvents, material impregnated with oil, lubricant or solvent; paint; plastic materials and other solids.
  • Liquid hazardous wastes are received in drums or tank trucks, and are stored or pumped directly to aboveground storage/blend tanks; the final product is then pumped to the CEMEX kilns. The feed pumps are operated by CEMEX. The facility also receives semi-solids (sludge) that are blended with the liquid waste fuel.
  • Solid hazardous wastes arrive in drums or super sacks, and are processed through a grinding machine to reduce size. The ground material is collected in hoppers and moved to the packing area where the solids are manually packed into fiber bags. The bags are transported by truck to a feeding conveyor belt for input to one of the cement kilns.
