EPA ID:N/A
Description of Services:The facility operates as a transfer facility for maquiladora (manufacturing subsidiaries of U.S. companies) wastes only - all wastes received are exported to the U.S. (Clean Harbors, La Porte, TX) and ultimately distributed to facilities within the Clean Harbors system (incinerators, land disposal facilities, water treatment plants) as required for the type of waste. The site was developed to respond to the legal requirement (established by U.S./Mexico treaty) that all maquiladora wastes (industrial and hazardous) be returned to the U.S. Note: The facility was purchased with other Laidlaw/Safety Clean facilities (Chemical Services Division) in September, 2002, however the Laidlaw designation was retained to allow continued operation in Mexico without permit changes.
