Description of Services:The facility treats only non-hazardous oilfield wastes (NOW) from Exploration and Production (E&P) operations both offshore and onshore. Most of the NOW consists of drilling muds, drill cuttings. well completion fluids, wash waters, produced water, and tank bottoms. The wastes are typically received in bulk from offshore workboats and barges along with trucks and trailers, and in various containers such as marine portable tanks, drums, and cutting boxes.

Incoming waste liquids are typically received in concrete tank. The incoming liquids are sent over a shaker into another concrete tank. The removed solids are put on the solids pad for treatment as described below. From this tank, the incoming liquids are piped to one of two rectangular, steel feed tanks. The pH is lowered to between 5 to 7 by the addition of chemicals. Polymers are also added to the wastewater, which is then piped to one of two centrifuges for solids removal.

Solids removed in the centrifuges are placed on the solids treatment pad for solidification. The wastewater is then piped to three poly, cone-bottomed tanks in series. The settled solids from the three tanks are sent to the centrifuge. The treated wastewater is finally piped to one of the two remaining concrete tanks where it is analyzed prior to discharge to the POTW. Tank bottoms from the processing and storage units are treated on the solids pad.
