| Description of Services: | The facility processes wastes two ways: (1) it autoclaves biosanitary wastes (e.g. syringes, i.v. equipment, hospital PPE, etc.) prior to offsite disposal, and it (2) transfers untreated cytotoxic and cytostatic medicines incl. chemotherapy wastes to appropriate offsite disposal facilities. Other facility operations include storage of biosanitary and cytotoxic wastes prior to treatment or transfer, washing of containers, shredding and compacting of autoclaved materials, and sterilization of delivery vehicle interiors. |
