| Description of Services: |  The facility can store, treat, and dispose of LLRW (Class A Waste only) and Mixed Low-Level Radioactive and Hazardous Waste (or MW). The treatment technologies includes chemical fixation / stabilization, macroencapsulation, microencapsulation, and solidification. Waste is only disposed of within on-site landfills or embankments. The facility also is permitted to operate an Indirect Thermal Desorption unit to extract organic contaminants from mixed waste. In addition, evaporation is permitted in lined surface impoundments or open-top tanks for site-generated wastewater. |
