| Description of Services: | The facility physically processes recyclable paper, metals, plastics, and a wide range of construction and demolition materials (including roof tile, wood, drywall, cement and pavement), utilizing automated conveyorized process equipment (paper) and manual separating/sorting. Items are segregated into bunkers (stockpiles of sorted material ready for transfer to offsite recyclers), or consolidated into larger containers (hazardous liquids and solids). Drum-in container in/drum-out container out transfer of hazardous and “Universal”-type wastes such as fluorescent tubes is also done. In addition to commercial load receiving, the facility is a public waste drop-off point for white waste (refrigerators, stoves, etc.) and other recyclables. |
