| Description of Services: | The facility operates a 50 kilowatt hour (KWH) peaking electric power generating plant that burns a combination of waste tires, wood and yard waste, and landfill gas for fuel at its facility located near Auburndale, Florida. The WRE facility is considered a peaking power plant, and is under contract to produce electricity (40-50 KWH) for Progress Energy between 11am and 10pm each day. During non-peak periods the facility only produces 20-22 KWH of power and sells the energy to other third parties. |
