Description of Services:The facility accepts solid waste (municipal waste and industrial non-hazardous waste), construction and demolition waste, oily soils, organics (compostable materials), and recyclables. Solid waste and oily soils are disposed in a synthetic-lined landfill cell with leachate collection, while construction and demolition waste is disposed in a separate unlined landfill area, organics are composted in a dedicated building onsite, and recyclables are separated for offsite recycling in a dedicated building. Landfilled wastes are not treated prior to disposal. Composting utilizes segregated piles inside the dedicated, heated building, with temperature and treatment time monitored (composting takes about three months to nine months, depending on the nature of the organic waste).
