| Description of Services: | The facility waste-to-energy turbine that generates electricity for facility use (15%) and for sale to Portland General Electric, Portland, OR (85%). The two 275 ton-per-day waterwall furnaces process five waste streams: 1) Marion County municipal solid waste (MSW); 2) medical wastes managed by Marion County; 3) waste from state and regional enforcement and government agencies; 4) medical wastes from service companies outside of Oregon, managed by Covanta; and 5) non-hazardous industrial waste. |
