| Description of Services: | The facility serves as a radioactive materials decontamination, recycling, and treatment facility. Activities conducted in support of the decontamination and recycling operations include waste storage; physical shredding, desizing, and sandblasting of solid materials; dewatering, filtration, and evaporation of liquid and sludge waste; compaction of drummed metal waste to make metal bricks and ingots for recycling; and repackaging of waste materials for waste recycling and disposal. |
