| Description of Services: | The facility in Richland is one of seven nuclear waste processing facilities in the United States that has treatment capabilities for processing both mixed low level radioactive waste (MLLW) and low level radioactive waste (LLRW). The facility is divided into separate MLLW and LLRW operations. The MLLW facility offers non-thermal treatment unit operations designed for volume reduction, neutralization, deactivation, physical extraction, micro/macro-encapsulation and stabilization. Treatment processes can treat mixed waste soils, debris, inorganic solids, inorganic liquids, metals, lead, and heterogeneous solid waste and debris. |
