| Description of Services: |  The facility stores and treats low-level radioactive wastes (LLRW), low-level mixed hazardous/radioactive wastes (LLMW), and radioactive PCB waste. The facility was recently permitted to receive and treat waste that is only hazardous, but to date has not received any. Treatments include: waste fuel blending, waste stabilization, thermal treatment of waste in a boiler/industrial furnace (BIF); and other waste treatments as needed (e.g., chemical oxidation, stabilization, physical separation, and microencapsulation). |
